We wanted to update you on our recent charity work by generating money for Water Missions International. Our November 13, 2010 Gala, sponsored by our four companies, raised more than $100,000 which was enough to build four water purification machines that were sent to Haiti (which is fighting a major Cholera outbreak) and Honduras (we plan to deliver these two machines in February, 2011). These machines provide clean water for up to 5,000 poor villagers per machine and ten dollars will provide safe water for one person up to a lifetime. They are being delivered to remote villages which do not have electricity.
The machine delivered this past week is displayed in the attached pictures (one is the machine being installed and another displays the solar panels).
DuBose Web Group donated an informational and donation website that contributed to getting the word out. Hopefully this was helpful for everyone. This effort is the result of our companies’ purpose of creating opportunities to improve lives. Thanks to everyone who helped make this happen! Another Gala is scheduled for late August, 2011.
